March-April is a pivotal time for local vegetables… Winter vegetables have disappeared from the fields and only a few new ones are ready at the moment.
It takes a few more weeks for Eric, Stéphane, Laurène, Nicolas, Laurent, our local gardeners (mostly organic) to offer us the “best of their products” …
To respect the season of our a region means resisting the temptation to buy “summer” vegetables already available on certain stalls… “real nature” does NOT offer them in April.
Then, as vegetables, at la Tonnellerie, on the menu of the moment you will find : asparagus, rhubarb and new vegetables (carrots, turnips, radishes)
